Willits Municipal Airport

Ells Field (O28) is owned and operated by the City of Willits, California. It is known as the "Runway to the Redwoods and the Sea."

Located on the mountain plateau three miles northwest of the City of Willits, about 120 nautical miles north of San Francisco on Highway 101 at Highway 20.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), also known as "drones," are regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration, the agency in charge of regulating all U.S. airspace and aircraft.

RC models are not allowed to be operated on or within one mile of Willits Municipal Airport for safety and insurance reasons. Contact the Airport Manager before flying drones within 5 miles of Willits Municipal Airport.
